The RDX’s newfound maturity extends beneath the sheetmetal. The prototype also is about 1 inch lower and longer, and 0.1 inch wider than the current RDX. Everything that made the last RDX so fun to drive—the turbocharged four-cylinder engine, torque-vectoring “Super Handling” all-wheel drive, and excellent steering—has either been tweaked or replaced. For those who don’t require four driven wheels, the RDX will continue to be available with front-wheel drive.

According to Acura, the Acura RDX will return better fuel economy than the current model with either drive configuration. The 2012 RDX’s fuel-economy numbers are noticeably worse, at 19/24 mpg for the front-drive version and 17/22 with SH-AWD.

2013 Seat Ibiza

The new SEAT Ibiza features a more dramatic – or as SEAT says more emotional – design with a more pronounced trapezoidal grille, featuring the SEAT logo, new honeycomb structure of the grille and the lower air intake.

The new line-up offers enormous breadth to meet every individual demand - from the compact and sporty three-door Ibiza SC, to the dynamic and universal five-door Ibiza, to the elegantly practical Ibiza ST estate car; from the extremely efficient Ibiza E-Ecomotive with 89 grams of CO2/km to the exceptionally sporty Ibiza FR with 110 kW (150 hp). A strong body structure is the backbone for the Cadillac ATS's driving experience. That comes from an optimal suspension geometry and advanced damping control - and the ATS packs both."

At the rear of the ATS is the first five-link independent suspension in a Cadillac. As with the front suspension, the five-link design creates virtual pivot points that the ATS's engineers used for geometry optimization.

"Using an aluminum cradle would have reduced the ATS's overall weight, but we found a few extra pounds at the rear suspension helped get the front/rear weight balance closer to the optimal 50-50 ratio," said David Masch, ATS chief engineer.

Seventeen-inch (17x8-inch) wheels used with 225/40-series tires are standard and 18x8-inch wheels and 255/35-series rubber are offered on the Cadillac ATS, with run-flat tires. Models with the FE3 suspension feature 18x9-inch rear wheels.

2013 Porsche Boxster

Never before in the history of the Porsche Boxster was a change of generation so comprehensive. Porsche has brought out a brand new generation of its entry-level Boxster convertible, one that’s lighter, more powerful, and more fuel-efficient than the model it replaces.

Once again both a Boxster and sportier Boxster S will be available. Porsche promises the cars are roughly 15 percent more fuel-efficient than previous models. To enhance driving dynamics yet further, Porsche offers the Sport Chrono Package as an optional extra, featuring dynamic transmission mounts for the first time. Also new in the Boxster is Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with a mechanical rear axle differential lock that varies the level of torque sent to each of the rear wheels.

Charismatic flat-six 'boxer' engines
The new generation Porsche roadster makes its debut in the classic Porsche pairing of Boxster and Boxster S. The new power unit fitted in the Porsche Boxster delivers 265 hp (195 kW) from a 2.7 litre displacement - 10 hp more than its larger capacity predecessor.
